Singapore is a melting pot of cultures. Aside from the dominant Asian cultures—Chinese, Indian, and Malaysian, western influences have also taken over the country by storm. Take for instance in the food arena. Western food in Singapore has been garnering support from the locals and foreigners alike. Top that with the growing popularity of fusion cuisine, there is no doubt that the east-meets-west idea has been successfully executed in the local food scene.
Here’s a list of some of the most interesting fusion cuisine in the country:
· Relish by Wild Rocket’s burgers
Chicken Satay Burger

Chili Soft Shell Crab Burger

Burger is one of the all-time favorite American food. We are all aware that a typical burger is made of a moist beef patty with choice of garnishes such as cheese, tomato, onion, pickles, and lettuce; and is sandwich between a sliced burger bun. Relish, however, took the concept on an Asian angle—instead of filing the buns with beef patty, they replaced it fillings that scream nothing Asian!
The satay sauce definitely hits home. But according to reviews, the Chili Soft Shell Crab burger might be a better choice. But of course, it would all depend on your taste preference for the day.
· Travelling C.O.W.’s Ramen Burger

If the previous set of burger is somewhat boring you, then try this Ramen Burger from the Travelling C.O.W (Chefs on Wheels). As their name suggests, they are offering this and other interesting food items on the go. It’s easy to spot their food truck—just watch out for the spotted truck!
· Pizza Hut’s Soft Shell Crabbiatta Pasta

Next on our list is from one of the most popular pizza joint, not only in Singapore, but in the world—Pizza Hut. But I am talking about pizza this time, its pasta. Their Soft Shell Crabbiatta is a twist of the popular Italian food, the Pasta Arrabiata. Although Pizza Hut is not confirming it, but a lot of food reviews on this one says that it tastes like the Asian popular Chili Crabs.
· Fat Cow’s Steak

Steak is one of the western food in Singapore that is also becoming increasingly popular. Although some can be a bit pricey, this doesn’t hinder Singaporean foodies to take on this popular western dish.
This particular steak is from Fat Cow, a Japanese restaurant. Once there, you can chose from Black Angus, USD Wagyu or Japanese Matsusaka beef cuts. According to reviews, the best among the three would the Matsusaka, although it is also the most expensive among the choices.
